Guarnicioneria Lopez | Seville

Custom shoemaking, leather goods and leather craft does not come much better than this – Spanish royalty seem to think so too.  Guarnicionerie Lopez was established 1952 by Francisco Lopez Galan and is now run by grandson Paco Lopez.  Incredible craftsmanship at (amazingly) affordable prices, definitely worth paying a visit if you are in Seville.

Economic crisis in Spain takes it toll #3

Benalup Casas Viejas, Province of Cádiz, Spain. March 2011

Yet further evidence of the Spanish building bust in Benalup.  This shell was abandoned over 3 years ago when developers pulled the plug on the project – a situation familiar all over Spain and indeed other European countries including Ireland.
